10 No-Fuss Methods For Figuring The Robots That Vacuum And Mop You're Looking For
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one go, without having to switch devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model this year has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling.
The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to reach under low-profile furniture making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. robot vacuum cleaners can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market, but it packs in a lot of extra features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature as it stops the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a useful method to keep your home cleaner for longer.
There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
